We’re thrilled you’re interested in adding a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy to your family! At Jena’s Blissful Bernese Mountain Dogs, we raise our pups with love, care, and purpose. Here’s everything you need to know about our adoption process and how to prepare for your new best friend.

Adoption Process

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Application

• Fill out our Puppy Application to help us learn about your lifestyle and preferences.
• We match puppies based on temperament and fit for your family at 6 weeks of age. (through ENS & Volhard test for temperament)

Step 2: Reservation

• Once approved, a non-refundable reservation fee of $300 secures your spot on the waitlist. We will send you a copy of our contract which will reserve your spot once filled out.

Step 3: Watch Them Grow

• You’ll receive regular photo/video updates of the litter! (YouTube, Facebook & Instagram too!
• Puppy picks typically happen around 6–7 weeks of age. They happen in deposit order. We will arrange this with families when the time comes whether its in person or via FaceTime.

Step 4: Go-Home Day

• Puppies go home at 8/9 weeks.
• Pickup is at our homestead in Ohio or delivery can be arranged (additional cost).

Preparing for Puppy

What You’ll Need – here is our puppy supply checklist on Amazon.

• Crate (size recommended: XL with the divider to expand as the puppy grows)
• High-quality puppy food (lamb) (linked on amazon)
• Food & water bowls
• Collar & leash (not retractable)
• Toys for teething and comfort
• Vet appointment scheduled within 72 hours of pickup

• 1-year genetic health guarantee
• Puppies are vet-checked before going home
• Must be taken to a licensed vet within 72 hours of pickup
• If for any reason you cannot care for your puppy or need to re-home, we require the puppy to come back to us!!! (no refund)
